Spectrovenator is an extinct genus of abelisaur that lived in Brazil during the Early Cretaceous.

Description[]

Spectrovenator lacks the intramandibular kinetic joint and the dorsal projection on the parietals that resembles a button. Among these features that place Spectrovenator at a more basal spot, Spectrovenator had very large cheeks which curve down past their jaws and down to the bottom of its mandible.

Spectrovenator was found buried under remains of Tapuisaurus.
